    Publishing used to be a risky business. An edition of the King James Bible published in 1631 had a misprint that had serious consequences. The word “not” was missing from Exodus 20:14, so it read “Thou shalt commit adultery”. The printers were fined 300 pounds for this mistake, which is the equivalent of over 51,000 pounds today.
