Somebody has to say it: He’s not a real modo; he’s just a quasi modo.

That’s the guy’s arm on the bar. I think some of you have had too much already.

I think somebody just needs to pay a little closer attention to what he’s drawing. How hard can that be?

(this coming from someone for whom “close enough for government work” seems to be an ingrained motto)

For those commenting on the alleged deficiencies of the drawing:

As already stated, the guy in black has his forearm on the table. Because he is dressed in black, it blends in with the shirt behind it. The guy is leaning on the table like the other two. The apparent narrowing of the table is a matter of perspective, as the POV drops lower. Please note that this also makes the head of the GIB go higher up towards the same level as the tops of the other two heads. Surely you don’t also believe that the artist has unwittingly made him grow taller? What happened to the window? Are you serious? It’s out of the frame in the second picture.

Bung has definitely moved (and picked up his glass to do so). I don’t know why he is moving away from the guy he’s having the conversation with, but I don’t care. Except for one, the other differences between the two panels are a shifting of the angle with which the scene is viewed. The ONE exception is the sudden appearance of ribs on the fellow’s cup, but I am willing to give the artist the benefit of the doubt on that and say the ribs are not noticeable in the first panel due to lighting.

gocomicsmember well like you say if the POV drops which causes the room to elongate which make the bar look closer to the wall which would/should mean the window would remain in the same place but it hasn’t. And now that it looks to be a even longer view of the room why isn’t the window still there?

Before you respond I wanted to add only that: Auguing about comic rules of reality is like wrestling with a pig in the mud after awhile you realize the pig likes it and I don’t…

If consistency from panel to panel is what you want you should read Dick Tracy. The artist there goes to great pains to make sure each panel is drawn exactly right.
