Had installed, uninstalled after 2 days since my system failed to startup. Photo album also crashed after 2 seconds. Start menu also crashed/did not work
Please do not install it without looking online for tips on how to disable all the spying features. It is literally the most spying software out there. I have decided not to touch it.
I’m having a flashback here. When Windows 95 was due to be sold in stores, people lined up for days in front of the stores to get a copy. A news team was interviewing some of these people. One guy admitted that he didn’t even own a computer, but that he thought it would be cool to have Windows 95.After SP1 MS has to issue Service Pack 2 to fix the fixes that didn’t fix in the first fix and then fix the fix………oh, never mind.
Prof, I was just making a joke. I haven’t downloaded it yet, so I have no idea if there are any problems. But people a lot smarter than me (which is pretty much everyone) say that it’s ok.
There is an old saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”. Unless you have a really new machine, upgrading will be a problem. Getting Device Drivers for older machines, for one!
I installed Windows 10 and had to immediately revert back to Windows 8.1 on my new computer, because Windows 10 wouldn’t play nice with my graphics card and TV. The screen edges were off the edge of the TV screen no matter where I set the resolution. I could “reduce” the TV image and use it with a black box around the picture, but why would I want to do that when both Windows 7 and Windows 8 work great in full screen mode on my TV?
Small price to pay for flying attack monkeys! Besides, maybe the paid version will let you have other options for new functions (weapons, strategies etc)!
So you installed Windows 10. Did you read the privacy statement when you installed it? Maybe this paragraph will send shivers down your spine.
Taken from the Privacy Statement for Windows 10:
Finally, we will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to: 1.comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including from law enforcement or other government agencies; 2.protect our customers, for example to prevent spam or attempts to defraud users of the services, or to help prevent the loss of life or serious injury of anyone; 3.operate and maintain the security of our services, including to prevent or stop an attack on our computer systems or networks; or 4.protect the rights or property of Microsoft, including enforcing the terms governing the use of the services – however, if we receive information indicating that someone is using our services to traffic in stolen intellectual or physical property of Microsoft, we will not inspect a customer’s private content ourselves, but we may refer the matter to law enforcement.
