In he case of a car theft, the other thieves (Allstate, State Farm, etc.) will pay a small amount for the car.

I see The Fink’s nose is bigger than the rest of his head. I think I like the new artist.

Britain had a reputation, decades ago, that the police did not require guns. The population was descended from those that did not commit violent crimes. Those that committed almost any crime were hanged or deported. Therein is the lesson for today- ‘hang people that commit violent crimes’. They do not produce babies, the prisons are not crowded, and repeat offenders do not waste resources of people, police, courts, etc. There is one drawback. Attorneys will starve.

The real problem with trying to deter people from being criminals is for some people society is too hard. Others its just how they are raised but a man successful with a house, car and kids isn’t as likely to be a criminal vs. The ex con who can’t get a job, who is starving and decides because nobody will hire him it is easier to commit a crime hoping to not get caught and if he does, he is already been there and can handle it.

Some ex con’s though should never be given a 2nd chance, due to the nature of their first crime.
