I don’t know about being easier? First you you have to drag the trebuchet out and position it. Second, you have to “wind” up the trebuchet so that it can throw the stone. And then you got to put the weight/stone in the sling. Using an Auger would seem to me to be a lot less work.
Well it is good until you realize that the rock going though the ice probably created lots of cracks in the ice that are just waiting to give way under the weight of the fish you pull in.
The ice looks a bit thin for two people, especially when one of them is wearing full armor. Sir Rodney is going to get his b**t frozen to the ice soon, if he does not end up under it.
