The only broken bone I ever had was from riding my son’s GT Racer on New Year’s Day back in ’91 but I tell people I fell off the curb after celebrated too much the night before.
I once lived in a town in New Jersey that had a hot dog stand named “Jimmy’s”. Best hot dogs ever, or so I’m told. But it was on the “wrong” side of a busy sreet. Hate to think how many were injured trying to get there.
Guys have to have a good story to go with injuries. There was a possibility that I was going to have 4 incisions on the inside of my forearm to repair some minor problem. I told the doc to make it look like I got swiped by a grizzly.
Thou shalt not run to the average Kielbasa stand but may hustle to the beef chorizo stand and thou should be prepared to race to the venison bratwurst grilling somewhere out there above real mesquite chips.

An officer in our department broke his ankle stepping off the curb while leaving for the day. Still got on-the-job disability.

Let’s split the difference. He was fighting his pet dragon over a hot dog.
