American history classes I took (yes, many years ago) glorified both the very violent Roman and Spartan cultures. Watching people slaughter each other for dinner party entertainment (Roman) and cultivating aggression while denying any form of comfort (Spartan): these were our “manly” role models. Of course supplicant women were/are much admired as well.

Must be Europe. In the US the complaints would be about there not being enough violence.

Should have a “dunk tank” or something to fall back into when the loser’s last ship sinks.

Personally, I’d like to see them settle things with an old “Rock-em Sock-em Robots” game!

This will continue until one of them becomes a sore loser and revert back to their old gladiatorial ways…

I don’t miss Battleship. That darn Destroyer was invisible. I miss playing Risk though.

Is having a Romulan Battle Bagel cheating?

That still can result in violence if either of them is a sore loser.

It’s all fun and games until the patrol boat gets sunk. Then that’s typically when the game ends, unless one gets lucky and finds it earlier.

All is well; the tablets show a Cm (add9) chord on the screen. Now play it and hum along.

I can’t believe no one pointed out the obvious flaw that they should be playing chess, the ultimate game of war with no luck involved.
