I used to give blood until they started calling me like I owed them. I might start again but they won’t get my email or phone number

Why is the doctor at the blood bank picky about her dates?

She has A type.

A pastor, a priest, and a rabbit walk into a blood bank, and the nurse asks what blood type they are.

The rabbit says, “I’m probably a Type-O”.

That is has special open hours for night musician creatures.

… and only evening hours. Actually, it stays open all night.

It’s closed in the daytime. The bank is kind of like a nightclub.

But like all the rest, they will put the bite on you.

I got a text from the local Red Cross saying they were critically short of blood, could I donate? I called them, the first appointment I could get was 4 weeks out. I have blocked them from my phone.

I wonder if they do more deposits or withdrawals? I wonder how they feel about plasma? …never mind. I lost interest.

My Dad was a major-league blood giver, something like 28 pints in his life. I tried to emulate him. In my first attempt, I turned absolutely white after the needle was in for maybe two minutes. They told me “Don’t call us. We’ll call you.”

It used to be that my bank had a branch in one of the supermarkets I use. Very handy, especially as that had expanded hours including some on Sunday. Alas, it was a victim of the shutdown. The area where it was is now used for Instacart staging.

I used to give blood, but started taking an allergy med and was told I could not give. Later, that restriction was removed, but was told my recently prescribed blood pressure med made it a no go. And if I don’t take the med, my blood pressure is to high. I am AB+, the universal recipient.

They might have an issue with constant withdrawals…
