Today’s strip is a cautionary tale. My great aunt the psychic, that I’ve mentioned before, spent her later years as a recluse because she couldn’t handle the thoughts she heard from anyone nearby.
EGAD!!!!! Wandering around in my own mind is . . .interesting enough. Why would I want to be in anybody else’s? AAMF, my sister and I were just discussing this. . .we were ruminating on why Spock (remember him????) would EVER mind meld? Why would somebody thinK that was fun? or the episode where the guy couldn’t filter out ANY other mind: finally got reprieve when he was paired with an alien “ship” that kept out all static from other humans. . .also, just finished “Crosstalk” by Connie Willis. Interesting funny take on mind access between lovers. . .and then, of course, there’s “Memory” by Lois McMaster Bujold, but that’s not strictly about mind access. . .but there’s the Borg. . .THANKS FOR LETTING ME SHARE!!!
Wiz – not to sound too know-it-all – I could have told you that WAY before you spent all that time putting the formula together. I had an occupation that I retired from with too many years of counseling, talking to, and listening to people. It’s the scariest thing in the world. IF that was what they were willing to “share” I never ever once wanted to “read their minds”. EVER! js

I’m pretty sure that women would not want to know what’s on men’s mind most of the time.
