I never had a whole lot of use for Jon Stewart, but that’s just me. My favorite Dr. Who remains Tom Baker. I will say, however, that I really like both David Tennant and Matt Smith.
My Doctor is David Tennant. Though I did grow to love Matt Smith and now Peter Capaldi. I think all have been well cast.I liked Christopher Eccleston too but I had seen David’s Doctor first during the fourth New Who season.
As a child I loved Tom Baker’s Doctor. Probably because I caught his episodes the most often.
Colin Baker’s exit was perhaps the strangest ever. After the “Trial of a Timelord” story was completed, JNT called Colin into his office and told him the ratings were great, it was the most-watched and best-received Who arc in a very long time. “Oh, by the way, you’re fired. Would you mind hanging around long enough to shoot the regeneration sequence?” Well, hell, yeah, he minded. And I don’t blame him.
I got some laughs out of Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz- but mostly when he calmed down and actually spoke some lines. I seemed to see an awful lot of mugging, arm waving, eye-popping, and “WTF” takes. That got samey quickly for me.
As for Jon Stewart I am anxious to see what he does next. I give him credit from walking away from 50 million dollars that was offered to keep him there.

So Jon’s collecting Disney residuals just like David?

Spoken like a man who’s never listened to a Big Finish audio. Major loss of Who Fan/Geek cred, Roy!

There is nothing wrong with Colin Baker (his audio adventures are great!).

I’d settle for anyone but Sylvester McCoy.

I liked Colin Baker. By the way, my last name is Baker. Coincidence, pure & simple.

We are only referring to Mr. Bakers run on Dr. Who. I asked on the FB page who is the least fav Dr. Who and Mr. Baker’s name popped up more than once.

Colin Baker? No way. Worst Doctor ever – Sylvester McCoy without a doubt. Outlandish appearance and outfit even by “Doctor Who” standards.

Tom Baker was still the best IMHO…

Having never seen Dr Who until the re-do, my favorite was Christopher Eccleston.

Jon Stewart had some good moments, but mostly, he was just full of himself!

Patrick Troughton’s my favorite, then Tom Baker. I do have a soft spot for McCoy, though, simply because he’s the only one I’ve ever actually met.

Peter Davidson was my favorite Doctor.I bet the BBC wished everyone would forget Colin Baker as the man who killed the show after the first 25 years

Or like my opinion of Matt Smith which I only grew to where I could tolerate him. Sort of.
