I was born on September 6, 1955. Don’t remember if that was the official L.D. holiday that year but I’m sure it was labor day as far as my Mom was concerned (though I think labor might have started the night before…)

Plus, the kid’s birthday won’t necessarily fall on Labor Day in subsequent years. I’m off by one day this year. My Aunt was born on the 4th, so we’re getting together for a joint breakfast brunch later this morning.

I was born the day after Mother’s Day but sometimes my birthday falls on that day, most often it doesn’t.
