After reading the other comments, I feel old. I got the reference immediately, laughed, and now feel a little panicked because that guy’s schtick is going to be stuck in my head like an ear worm!
The only time he got a laugh out of me was in one commercial, at the end, an attractive woman calls him “Johnson.” When someone starts to explain things to her, Johnson says “Now SHE can call me Johnson!”
oh best story ever when Father Guido Sarducci was in front of John Lennon’s apartment building offering him $250 to come down and appear on SNL in 70’s…he started down and it just so happened that Paul McCartney was visiting and hanging out with him, and they decided not to, because they thought it would lead to a Beatles reunion rumor…boogers
