Searching the web with google is not the same as searching the web. Google will only show you what Google wants you to see. To search the web, you need to know what you are looking for. If you don’t know, you will only see a suggestion.
Excite, Yahoo, Webcrawler, AltaVista. Before those was Gopher. And we used texting or ftp transfers to exchange information. Those were the days my friends ….

Get Trumpet Winsock through DOS-based FTP, install it so you can use Windows 3.1-based tools and then get Mosaic. Enjoy…
