Sexy women with (and without, in Rita’s case) brains, and in some cases, power. What’s not to like? Anyone who doesn’t like sarcasm shouldn’t read comics.

At first I thought they said “Greek” – and I thought, sure – Andromeda & Medusa tend to fall into that category.

Addressing men as classic geek culture, I was once asked why I looked normal and not like all the other computer nerds in the company. The lady asking me was young, statuesque (5’10”), athletic, fashion conscious, and single, but also a programmer, which was totally unlike any of the other lady programmers (who tended to look bookish and plain). What can you say?

They say “overly sexualized” like it’s a bad thing.
