I think I still have my old slide rule and I know I have an edition (late 70’s) of the CRC handbook.

I know how to use an abacus. I learned while home-schooling my great-granddaughter through grades 2 and 3.

I think I still have my slide rule (I hope), but I think it is buried in deepest, darkest depths of my storage unit.

If we have to resort to slide rules I’m doomed. Got my first poor grade in school having to learn how to use one. Couldn’t then, still can’t.

Abacuses aren’t calculators any more than pencil and paper are. Like the latter, abacuses are for keeping track of the products, sums, and quotients that result from mental computations.
