What’s even worse is that Columbus wasn’t even REALLY the first to discover the Americas either (according to reports, he wasn’t even the one to get to declare “land ahoy” during the voyage), he just stole all the credit.
What I want to know is where his mother got that globe. It’s surprisingly up to date for the day.
