Eating in front of the TV is so 1950’s. Yes, that is when it was common to eat off a TV table (small individual size folding table for those of you who do not know what they are) in front of the TV (which of course was a huge console in the living room, tastefully designed to fit the decor). Movie stars did so (read their autobiographies and they talk about it). Politicians did so (ditto). We did on special occasions, like the annual showing of “The Wizard of Oz” and of “Yankee Doodle Dandy”.
So everything old is new again! Oh, but back then everyone watched the same TV.
