Like Nighthawks, I recognized the dialog from “The Manchurian Candidate”, a movie that I found so scary when it first came out that it took me decades to stop hating Angela Lansbury.
After JFK’s murder, a movie about a political assassination was deemed too sensitive, and the movie was shelved for many years. Fortunately you can now catch it occasionally on Turner Classic Movies, a brilliant and disturbing film, and one of Frank Sinatra’s best performances.
