Yeah they all seem to be reading the same script.

I was wondering how all the news anchors gave the same news at the same time.

It seems to be a common thing nowadays, even in the highest of the land.

The news anchor’s Teleprompter, will be followed by a speech from the President’s Teleprompter.

Showing the teleprompter will actually require people to read. I thought they watched TV to avoid that.

Also, you wouldn’t get any of the video. That’s very important for some stories, like sports plays. It’s completely useless for others, of course. For example, how many shots (no pun intended) do we need to see of people getting shots when talking about COVID vaccinations? Is there somebody who doesn’t know how a shot works?

And, while I’m on that topic, is anybody else sick of people talking about “getting shots into arms”? We know where they usually go — into people. If the shots go into the garbage, I hope they aren’t counted.

Most news reporters will read anything put before them. I remember a radio news announcer reading that there had been a “silicon dioxide” spill at a local chemical plant and everyone should shelter in place. It was amusing until I realized he didn’t mean “sand” and should have said “sulfur dioxide”.

Doesn’t the camera shoot through the teleprompter from the back?

That way you can put your own slant to the news.

when the news in TV don’t roll in the best way, I think the best anthidot against that is to show a commercial spots…
