Don’t worry, the line will break when you try to bring the fish in.

Being careful doesn’t always work. Every time I start to fish I always make a wish, “I won’t fish for seaweed and rubber boots! I won’t fish for seaweed and rubber boots! I won’t fish for seaweed and rubber boots!” Yet despite this care and attention, one lousy rubber boot is all I manage to catch that day!

Your’e gonna need a bigger fishing rod!

If you rub your tackle box, a genie might come out and grant you three fishes.

That’s why I’m only fishing for compliments, folks…

Be careful where you fish. Do you know what lurks in the lake or pond or river or stream where you fish?

Be careful – you might not get (catch) what you fish for.

You might get (catch) something else. Or it might catch you.

Looks like Ziggy’s gonna be the catch of the day.

that’s some good advice… perhaps you should consider it.

Two Ziggy’s in the last week that made me laugh (or chuckle) out loud. It’s been a good week.

Ziggy’s arms aren’t long enough to tell people about the one that got away.

And remember, you only get three fishes. :)

That is why you should always consider the strength of your fishing line and it should always be less than the friction applied by your shoes.

I caught that fish once. Thought I snagged another reed, it just sat. Dad thought I snagged another reed. Then it moved… Turned out to be a 16lb4oz big mouth bass! Not a record for the lake I was fishing, but a nice fish.

I wish. I wish. I wish I were a fish.
