When the cartoonists paid tribute to Charles Schulz, on Blondie strip, Dagwood is asking Dithers for a pay raise. Dithers replies, Charles Schulz worked for Peanuts, and he did ok for himself. Last panel Dag walks away saying, how do you argue with logic like that.

Seriously? How can anybody think Ziggy’s parrot is even close to being as iconic as Snoopy? Is the parrot even the main animal in “Ziggy”?

If I were listing iconic cartoon animals, I’d list Snoopy, Garfield, Hobbes, Marmaduke, etc. None of Ziggy’s pets would be on the list.
