Only to a point. Personally, I vote based on who is backing the candidate. Easy to find out on the web. The only way to get and stay elected is to be the servant of those who pay your way. That’s just how the system works. So, if I vote for the candidate who is getting most of their money from corporations and 1%ers I know that’s who s/he is going to be working for. If I vote for the person who is getting a lot of small donations from actual people, or from unions, which are groups of middle class people, I know that person is going to take that into consideration when voting.
