Wouldn’t corporations have to die in order to go to hell?

They can lose their charters, a form of death.

Before you do that, how about sending them some plagues?

Hobby Lobby didn’t want to have to pay for the 4 abortion types of birth control. They weren’t refusing to pay for the other 16 forms of birth control, just the 4 that were a form of legalized murder. If anything, Mary should be agreeing with the Supreme Court’s decision.

So if corporations are people, shouldn’t they be emancipated immediately? The Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution makes slavery, owning another person as property, illegal.

the same corporation does business in china where they enforce the 1 child policy. they invest in mutual funds/pensions that in turn invest in drug companies that make those products they object too. so, the religious argument doesn’t hold water. it is just about money. they can’t serve 2 masters.

@Ken, those aren’t abortion drugs. So what’s your excuse now? Why should the opinion of a few men hamper access to medicine for thousands of women? What about their religious rights? If your boss decided it was against her religious beliefs to provide you with necessary medication, how would you feel?

I didn’t know it was even possible for corporations to have a soul. They certainly have no shame or humility, Ebenezer Scrooge is alive & well.

I do a lot of various crafts but I stopped shopping at Hobby Lobby years ago, even though it’s a lot closer than the alternative, because they mostly deal in cheezy home decor products and their selection of supplies in any given craft is small and low quality. Also the fact that the owner refuses to invest in actual technology and the checkout procedure is tedious since the employees have to scan the sales flyer for every sale to see if an item is on it.

OTOH, most of my fellow pagans shop there for candles for the seasonal fests.

Maybe Cheney will run for president, with Halliburton as his VP candidate. Halliburton is now a person, right? -It was born in the United States, so that being chartered in the Caymans shouldn’t get it the way, should it?
