All of Congress is on vacation, so is the President. He gives a speech to the people, then goes back to take his mind off the pressures he’s got, for a while. Nah, he’s supposed to be on duty 24/7 in the White House, just like “W” was.
Over 5,000 killed by "W"s actions, including some of my friends. Thousands of kids killed by collateral damage from “shock and awe”, and a single American reporter, granted deserving of honor and credit for doing his job, and paying a dear price, is all that matters to the public, again?
Obama never said “Mission Accomplished” and “Bring it on” and then sat back and watched a few thousand Americans die for no reason except some foolish nation-building scheme dreamt up by rightwing fatcat oil traders.
I still just can’t figure out why the right keeps putting Bush and Cheney’s total failures, and indeed ability to make things worse, on Obama.
It’s also interesting that all the U.S. invasions or covert operations by Republican administrations since Reagan (Iran/Contra, Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, and dozens of those “covert” operations on almost every continent) haven’t done anything but build “good will” around the planet. Right….
Simple. He’s there now and they have no concept of history or even of cause and effect..It’s as if the bank were robbed, so they blame the next customer who walks in..Which, by the way, also happened.
