I will consider the last two, but not the first. It’s use ended the 2nd world war by almost two years and saved hundreds if not a million lives on both sides. Plust the research that came out of it’s developemend has saved miliions more and provided us with abundant energy.

Dana is really being apolitical here-she could have shown a day after a presidential headline announcing who the winner was. (I won’t give examples as I think everyone had one immediately pop into their head)

There was also Boeing’s merger with McDonnell Douglas. As a former Boeing employee, I can say that the long term effects are much worse than even New Coke.

@BillWa and Veteran:As Veteran implies, personal perspective is everything. If you had family killed in either of the atomic bomb attacks on Japan, you’d likely see them as disasters..My taste buds suffered the ravages of both New and Old Coke; give me good root-beer any day of the week!

I wonder if Dana’s signature is upside down in the last panel for Millie to read it properly.

Let us not forget the Arch Deluxe. If advertising were everything, we’d all be washing down our Arch Deluxes with our New Coke. No matter how loud you shout, you can’t actually sell people something they don’t want.
