There are Looney Jurists on both end of the spectrum. The judicial branch acts as a spoiler to moderate the speed at which things change in our society.

And before you Liberals start hooting and howling – Ask yourself if you wouldn’t be judge shopping if one of your sacred cows was being gored – Think SSDI or Medicaid.

Our government is designed to move away from the Staus Quo at a snails pace.

Yes But Mr. Anderson likes the effects of Judge shopping when a Leftist does it to protect their favored programs. It’s only a bad thing when it is done by conservatives.

Simple fact is that while judges rarely totally put aside their “values” on the bench, Republican appointees on the federal bench far outnumber Democratic appointees, length of White House occupation is part of the issue, but more criticized should well be the failure of Senate confirmation due to filibuster or obfuscated rules used by those Republicans in the Senate, screwing the “simple” majority.

These recent cases make me think “orange man” Boehner has convinced himself and those on the bench that HE, not Obama is the real President, and that upstart needs to be put down for attempting to do exactly what the Constitution provides.

All my adult life I have complained about congressional and presidential actions (who hasn’t?). But, I never, until recent years, suspected the SCOTUS of corruption.

@MangeyMoose – First of all: This was done by a district court Judge and not the Supreme Court. Second of all: He didn’t do it in an underhanded matter; He wrote a strongly worded and public opinion for all to read. He can be overruled by an appellate court or the Supreme court but his words and his work are hardly the actions of a corrupt public servant trying to sneak around and accomplish something netharious.

You and I don’t see the world the same way Mangey and that is due to our different experiences but show me where the corruption lies. I’m not seeing it.

I"m wondering, mangy, if folks, especially on the right, are even remotely aware of how many federal courts there are with district, appeals, etc.,and of course judges. BTW: long ago found out that U.S. solicitors are the bedrock of butt kissers and wannabes in the federal government, but they are all lawyers, ’nough said.

“He wants Obama’s illegal aliens to cause more unemployment. He also wants Obama’s illegal aliens to spread disease….”Bush wanted to let them do just that so long as they promised to go back home at the end of each day.
