Why is Congress a gun free zone?
If every legislator were armed with the weapon(s) of their choice, I bet there would be hardly any filibusters.
Isn’t there a southern state legislature that’s going to allow open carry? Should be interesting. Especially right to life debates.

After Congressman Charles Sumner got caned senseless in the Chamber, many congressmen began to carry pistols with them. Such was the over-heated atmosphere of the country in the years leading up to the Civil War.

Life on this planet is all about ’survival of the fittest and whether we attribute that reality to a secular or God created Mother Nature and/or our genes it is a reality that we, Homo sapiens, have not been able to change over the course of human history. As Samuel Langhorne Clemens so succinctly stated, “In Mother Nature there are no indecencies.” Something our human history also clearly records; as Baroness Jackson of Lodsworth, DBE so clearly observed, “We are one people living on Spaceship Earth where we shall either all learn to live together in peace and harmony or we shall die fighting amongst ourselves.
