Muslims need to work, no matter where they live……that is just an economic reallity. American Musllims don’t go to work with a bomb around their waist or organize beheading parties.However, if Muslims don’t participate in the Jihad, they cannot claim to be Muslim. Jihad is not only the Holy War by the sword; Islam’s sixth pillar can equally be fulfilled through speech, the pen and money, which they do, in our country, every day.To be a true Muslim, you have to follow Mohammed’s teachings to the letter. Mohammed would not have lost any sleep and most likely have laughed at the 3000 dead at the WTC.I’m not saying that our American Muslims laughed, and didn’t care about 9/11; what I am saying is that if they didn’t, they cannot claim to be Muslims, and……according to the Sira, the Kadith and the Koran, they would be considered as ‘unbelievers’ and therefore be worthy of scorn, mockery or beheading themselves.
We (Western world) is not involved in a religious war against that sector of Islam. Unfortunately, that sector of Islam is involved in a religious war against us.
Just a point on information base and ignorance. Yesterday, watched ABC, CBS, NBC, and AlJazeera America. In the same length of broadcast time, the three “majors” covered winter weather on the East coast, “ISIS” terror and be afraid America, and Kurt Bush’s domestic problems. AlJazeera covered wars and ongoing problems, economically as well as religiously driven, including ISIL, in 21 countries!! And it was NEWS, not just whining or opinion on that “alternative” source. Fox news was just opinions, and a pinch of distortion of the “facts”, yep watched them too in an effort to find content, which was a waste of time.
The message from Obama was that we need to offer economic and social assistance to nations around the world facing problems in their populace, like in our own as well, not just more guns and bombs AFTER we’ve failed with our constant war-fighting against a new “problem” every week.
The only war won, is the one never fought, because the factors leading to oppression, and rebellion, were resolved and cured without war.
On “religious violence”? Read a little Leviticus for the Old Testament view, and Paul’s “warnings” in his message in “Romans” on “God” bringing death to all homosexuals, or anyone not meeting Paul’s line of thinking. Joshua the old testament psycho, and the Inquisition, and well , 100 years war, illustrate how those old and new followers of their God, which is the same as Allah in Islam, brought peace and love to the world, with that sword that was only of course metaphore when Jesus called for USING IT!

Just a note on 60 minutes tonight with a tribute to Bob Simon, a real reporter with war experience; running the story he covered when those good Christian Serbs slaughtered and raped every Muslim they could find, including repeating the cold-blooded murders of the Nazi era, but this time Muslims instead of Jews.
