After Dan Rather and Brian Williams (along with many other progressive propagandists) the Left had to find somebody to divert attention. This agitated Moderate was the best they could come up with.

Does it matter what era this cartoon comes from? It satirizes a permanent Fox News truth: if you expect to hear anything but wingnut fantasies and made-up events from Fox – and especially from Bill O’Reilly, who, despite overwhelming evidence that he’s a big fat liar, still refuses to own up to his lies – it’ll..never…happen.

They need a truth meter for FOX to find the rare instances when they actually report some unbiased news.

The only people at Fox News who don’t lie are the cameramen.

Walter Cronkite was a witness in a trial in Florida in 2000 of Fox journalists vs Fox news. The Journalists had worked on a story about tainted milk that was embarrassing to Monsanto and the milk industry. They were told to change the story, they wouldn’t. Walter was called in to back up the argument that news journalism was expected to be honest and truthful. Fox lawyers argued that since the end of the Fairness Doctrine, news now had the standard of freedom of speech. The owners of the station could say whatever they wanted and their reporters could be required to say what the owners wanted or face dismissal. The lawyers argued that, “the broadcasting company is protected by the First Amendment and what the defendants say is the fact there is no law, rule or regulation to prohibit such distortion.”This was a landmark case, so important that Cronkite and Nader both testified. In 2003 it was reported like this, “In a stunningly narrow interpretation of FCC rules, the Florida Appeals court claimed that the FCC policy against falsification of the news does not rise to the level of a “law, rule, or regulation,” it was simply a “policy.” Therefore, it is up to the station whether or not it wants to report honestly.”

Amazing that righties always scream “Soros”, when they ignore Murdoch controls not only Faux and the Wall Street Journal here, but other sources,as well as all he contols overseas in “making” public opinion, as well as “making up” the “news”. They also ignore that Koch brothers EACH have twice the financial resource of Soros, and distribute those funds through various “foundations” in FAR bigger stacks of cash.

“Buying” media or politics, whether with cash or a gun, is against Democracy and true freedom, period. When you have the ability to sell your lies to millions, while still collecting ad revenue? MURDOCH is the one who’s laughing.

Dan Rather gave an essentially accurate report, but used one document found to be a recreation rather than an original and he was fired.

Brian Williams embellished a story originally reported (years ago) accurately and is suspended for at least six months and might lose his job completely.

Real news people are held accountable even for minor embellishments.

Bill O’Reilly and Faux “News” are caught repeatedly in total FIBrications and outright massive lies with no accountability whatsoever.

That is one of the differences between real news and a totally fake political poopaganda machine.

“Lying is ok if a Conservative does it. But, happily, Liberals are held to higher standards.”Perhaps, but liberal pundits tend to fail said standards. Whether or not they make stuff up less often than their conservative counterparts, they still have a habit of making stuff up.http://www.politifact.com/personalities/rachel-maddow/http://www.politifact.com/personalities/bill-maher/http://www.politifact.com/personalities/jon-stewart/

Some feeble justifications for the Falklands lies don’t do a thing to address the “Kennedy witness shooting” and “Bill sees dead nuns” stories, among others.

Yeah, because CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC and all the liberal rag papers and magazines don’t lie. Please, quit recycling your boring old ideas that are false. It kind of sucks when you have nothing new and you are running out of ideas to support your corrupt liberal viewpoints, huh?

CBS this morning did a “report” on not being able to fire bad employees, one case was a guy who confronted someone with the fact he was 6’3’ and over 200 pounds and could “take them out”, thus he should be fired: for acting precisely the same way O’Reilly does in every confrontation!!

How does CBS showing anything about Buenos Aries prove Bill O’Rielly was not lying when he said he was in the Falkland Island War Zone. Also nothing about Bill’s news crew being attacked by military police or one of his crew being hurt. His own crew that was with him do not back up his recollections.

“churchillwasright said, about 15 hours ago$15.4 Million from Soros, Funds Outlets Attacking O’Reilly

    Anyone surprised?"

Yes, Soros has spent this much on those outlets over a period from about 1989 to present. Anyone surprised the time period was omitted from these articles being reported on numerous sites.
