I skated with both feet in the air once and have the scars to prove it!
To skate don’t you pretty much have one foot in the air at least some of the time. I usually had my butt on the floor most of the time.
Means she couldn’t stand up to skate.
1) Better your butt is above your legs (and therefore “in the air”) than on the ground.
2) Handstand skating? Now that’s impressive!
