Makes me worry, considerably. Looks to me that they are intent on ruining the perception that they’re fair and apolitical. Even without the cartoon hats.

All of the six Republican-appointed ”justices” are illegitimate. All were either appointed by an illegitimate “president” who did not win the popular vote and only “won” the electoral college by massive cheating and voter suppression OR lied under oath about sexual violence during their confirmation hearings OR only got their nominations or confirmations because of illegitimate manipulation of the confirmation process in ways never envisioned by the Founders.

Clarence Thomas — committed perjury during confirmation hearings lying about sexual assaults.

John Roberts — appointed by an unelected president who took office without getting the most votes and only “won” the Electoral College solely because of cheating and voter suppression in Florida.

Samuel Alito — appointed by an unelected president who took office without getting the most votes and solely because of cheating and voter suppression.

Neil Gorsuch — appointed by an unelected president who took office without getting the most votes and solely because of cheating via CONspiracy with Russia and vote suppression in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Also occupies a seat that should have been filled by Obama who was obstructed by racist McConnell.

Brett Kavanaugh — appointed by an unelected president who took office without getting the most votes and only “won” the Electoral College solely because of cheating via CONspiracy with Russia and voter suppression AND committed perjury during confirmation hearings and sexual assaults including rape.

Amy Coney Barrett — appointed by an unelected president who took office without getting the most votes and solely because of cheating and voter suppression AND whose appointment was illegally rushed through in an unprecedented violation of the Senate’s own rules after voting in a presidential election was already under way.

The only hope is (a) Robert’s does the right thing, which he has in the past and (b) one of the Texturalists (right term?) does the right thing because that is what a strict interpretation of the Constitution says. They are operating so far outside the Overton Window, they cannot even see the house it rests on. All balanced polls (so not right wing inspired) show at least a 60-70% support for abortion. There was a time when sensible right of centre parties changed a little with the times to remain electable.

What can decent people do to correct the problem? Has the unscrupulous right succeeded in turning the US into a de facto dictatorship, … where the will of the majority means nothing? Is it time for a [third] proactive party to counter the active and submissive parties that threaten our democracy?

GOP is so insecure they scramble to be the majority in every aspect…they never have a plan and all they vote on is breaks, more money, and agendas that benefit them. There’s nothing they do that is FOR Americans and AMERICA!

    They play dirty pool…..because they’re always desperate…

    Party first = GOP platform

Will the Supreme Court take responsibility for the troubled youth that is bound to follow.

We will never know for sure.. but was this latest school shooting the result of a “political” abortion policy in America? A policy that the Supreme Court is about to gut even further. An unwanted child.. grows up to be detriment to a civilized society.

Possibly.. a lot of the crime/shootings/lootings we see today are the result of.. abortion policies of the past.

The court has become a joke but not in the funny way. Six of the justices are wearing “I Love Trump” T-shirts under their robes. Kavanaugh has a six-pack strapped to his belt.

One thing for sure, none of those MAGA judges will ever see heaven. Although, if God or the Devil has a sense of humor he’ll stick each one in their own white void, maybe even throw in a cloud or two. When the justice asks if this is heaven, they would say yes. When the justice asks where is everyone? The answer would be, according to your judgements on Earth you are the only one who deserved to go to heaven. Then it would leave them alone there for eternity.

The Love of Money is . . .  over 2 years ago

Hypothetically speaking, if a person were to convince a Supreme Court Judge to retire so a Judge more favorable to the Conservatives, would that be considered unethical if money somehow changed hands to influence his or her decision or to the person who ‘helped’ the Judge without his knowledge. I guess it doesn’t matter with our present kangaroo Supreme Court anyway. . . not until the MAGA’s realize they no longer live in a free country and all their money can’t buy it back.
