Gocomics has had a number of problems lately with many strips coming out in black and white and then if you reload, they’re in colour. And other strips won’t load at all unless you come to the comments section (as I did here).
When my wife was transferred here we ended up in a home whose former owner loved DIY, but had more ambition than ability. I drove to Lowes™ almost daily for three months correcting his mistakes (with three times in one day being my personal best. Fortunately the store was close).
Real life training.. when you go to Lowes.. you buy some of every size and every possible gadget. Use what you need and return the rest. Two trips max for any project.
This one is a little on point. He actually knows these issues. Good work man! It’s nice to know a man that builds things using only pictograms as a guide. “Darn it! I’m one screw short! Don’t know the size but I can’t go through life with a screw loose!”
Well with google you can fix almost anything yourself… I’m sure even do open heart surgery!!.. but they should have a real game like this, teaching you everything they DON’T teach you in school…but should!
We reach, brother. Any small project in the house that I can’t take out to my shop usually ends with me having bloody near every tool I own carried in over the span of time spent working.

Gee, that never happens

wait a minute, a new TV set should have the screws along with it (unless maybe this is not the case in the US?)

No way. The last mounts I had came with 6 sets of screws, so I have five sets of screws left over on 6 different mounts.

this game is more real than Adam’s life…

He’ll be at it a long time. I used to regularly take 8 trips to Lowes for each project.

The name placement game again. Well done.

We consider a DIY project a success if fewer than 3 trips to Home Depot are required to complete it.

I needed a screw for my car when I lost one changing the battery. I finally tried the metric section and et voilà!

I play games to escape reality. Why play something that would further depress me?

This is a lot of reality for one so young. He’ll be scarred for life!

Clayton should have taken the Home Depot option. Players who use the alternative always end up with the Lowes score.

Well done. The four trips to Lowes for one project gave me a laugh.

Wait until he gets to the level where he has to sit around for hours playing a boring video game.

For additional reality, Clayton will discover he had the correct size screws already in his tool box after the fourth trip to Lowes (or “HoDepo”).

The worst part about “Adulting 2K22” is there’s no way to turn the game off.

There is your problem. You need to go to Tractor Supply. They have a better assortment of fasteners.

VESA standard would be ≤ 50 lbs, M4 x 10mm. ≤ 250 lb, M6 x 8 mm or 10 mm;M8 x 15 mm.
Would also be 100mm x 100mm or 200mm x 200mm, on larger TV’s and monitors, could be 400mm x 400mm.

But you have a stud finder and an industrial cordless drill you probably won’t ever use again. Ah, good times.

At the top of my comics is a notice, “Site updates coming Fall 2023”. I don’t know if I can wait that long!
