wait a minute, a new TV set should have the screws along with it (unless maybe this is not the case in the US?)

No way. The last mounts I had came with 6 sets of screws, so I have five sets of screws left over on 6 different mounts.

Gocomics has had a number of problems lately with many strips coming out in black and white and then if you reload, they’re in colour. And other strips won’t load at all unless you come to the comments section (as I did here).

We consider a DIY project a success if fewer than 3 trips to Home Depot are required to complete it.

When my wife was transferred here we ended up in a home whose former owner loved DIY, but had more ambition than ability. I drove to Lowes™ almost daily for three months correcting his mistakes (with three times in one day being my personal best. Fortunately the store was close).

I needed a screw for my car when I lost one changing the battery. I finally tried the metric section and et voilà!

I play games to escape reality. Why play something that would further depress me?

Real life training.. when you go to Lowes.. you buy some of every size and every possible gadget. Use what you need and return the rest. Two trips max for any project.

There is your problem. You need to go to Tractor Supply. They have a better assortment of fasteners.

We reach, brother. Any small project in the house that I can’t take out to my shop usually ends with me having bloody near every tool I own carried in over the span of time spent working.

But you have a stud finder and an industrial cordless drill you probably won’t ever use again. Ah, good times.
