Hot Dish vs. Casserole – Is there a difference except in which part of the country it’s made? IMHO…very little to nothing. My “West Coast” casseroles contain lots of stuff I would never have used if the recipe didn’t call for it.
The only casserole I make from scratch is Lasagna and even that has contained bottled sauce at times.
