Why take the time and trouble to invent a lie, when the truth works just as effectively ?Andy ( at least in this instance () is being honest. Besides, trying to come up with a plausible excuse it taking valuable time away from the pub !

Yes, Andy has a mind like a steel trap……………. but it wasn’t stainless and got a little rusty………
