I believe the answer is Petruchio. It’s been almost 40 years since I read The Taming of the Shrew and watched a performance of it in my high-school Shakespeare class, but it remains one of my favorite Shakespeare plays to this day.

The phrase includes nineteen characters. the central character is the tenth, the letter o of the word of.

I’m just as clueless as Chalkie. I’ve never even heard of it.
To any snobby commenters aged 50+ I did have a decent education. We just never covered that play.
