I can’t imagine any saloonkeeper with even an atom of common sense allowing the likes of Capp to harass customers!

Neither loan nor give Andy any money. To do so generates the idea on his part that you would do so again and he will ask for a twenty every time he sees you.

He had many thoughts. Some were probably centered around the local pub.

Just buy Andy another pint. You’ll be ahead.

There is the occasional daily comic strip where he wins at the track and takes Flo out to eat. In the restaurant, he is surrounded by his debtors and has to explain to Flo how he is now skint and they have to leave.
