If Pops did not explain his expectations during the buy out then he should not complain, besides unless they were on a salary based pay it is not costing him money if they are not there to do any work.

Freeloader? Wow, Boots … pretty harsh!

GUS closed the restaurant, not by her choice….she’s worked like a dog there since she was a teenager. Is everybody who accepts severance a freeloader?

Anyway, she owns a piece of the business, which I would think would include its assets…even if not, she’s quite young, he’s her father, and he wants to help her out.

Even at that, this sounds like he’s offering something she’s never considered.

Now it IS eclipsed. We’re staying at a motel on the Gulf at St. Pete Beach to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday today! It’s also the birthday of our middle granddaughter and of an aunt of hers on her father’s side. I put it on Facebook, with reference to a video of S. Colbert singing his version of Happy Birthday. http://thecolbertreport.cc.com/videos/3si7rs/warner-music-s—happy-birthday—copyright

Now it’s 6:42 and a sliver just reappeared. Couldn’t see beans during full eclipse because of the cloud cover.

Yes, it was gorgeous here in Michigan! We got lucky, the few clouds came and went quickly. It’s daylight now – almost 8 am Eastern, so I’m watching it on a live feed from Griffith Observatory on www.accuweather.com.

It is so much fun listening to Mary Lou’s conversation with Gus. But they never really sit down and talk things out. Reminds me of someone close….uh yeah real close….never mind.

Mary Lou putting cigar butts and ashes into the trash? I hope they’re cold, otherwise there won’t even be mousetraps to check.

I think when Mary Lou tells Gus of her and Gene’s plan, he will be cautiously supportive. He truly believes in his youngest daughter!

I can’t put my finger on anything specific, but I think Gus is looking quite a bit older lately. Also, could only see some of the eclipse early on – too much fog here on the coast.

C’mon… Gus is bored and lonely. He misses having Gene and Mary Lou around all the time. I really think it’s that simple.
