When I was a child, my mother made my brother and I go as black cats. We had black pants and black sweatshirts, she drew whiskers on our faces and made us ears and tails out of crepe paper. Then when I was old enough to go out with friends, I was always a “gypsy”. Easy costume…just all kinds of scarves and jewelry and long skirt. I did it every year. Not very imaginative, but it was fun.
I dressed as birthday girl – hated Halloween then and hate it now. We go to the PA Dutch country for it so we can go out for dinner without having a female football player covered in dirt and a busboy who is a science experiment gone wrong and covered in blood!

Guilty! That was my costume every year. I always pulled it together about an hour before showtime…

Janice, men have their favorite shirt, shoes, jacket, etc. They may be years old. They may be what we wore in high school. We don’t care!

I dressed up as Fredrick Engels. I was disappointed that no one, especially Dems, recognized who I was supposed to be.
