You can easily eat more calories than you can burn in an entire day of walking. You might be able to burn 350 calories an hour walking if you try really hard; you can eat 3500 calories in a day without breaking a sweat. Here’s how: https://www.eatthismuch.com/diet-plan/3500-calorie/. Walk; by all means, walk; walk for fitness, walk for pleasure, walk for mental stimulation, but don’t fool yourself into thinking you can walk off weight.
I went jogging once at 40 below zero (real temp, not wind chill). Every day since is much easier. But I agree that any exercise is better than nothing. America is becoming the land of the obese, led by the obesity-in-chief.
Walking does not cause a weight loss. It may tone muscles and reduce resting pulse rate, however. I have seen members at the Y constantly exercising, but their body is basically the same in appearance even after years. What were you born with? How old are you? What has your body become up to this point? What do you consume? These are mere starting points to consider before beginning an exercise program. However, I understand the artist was attempting to get a joke off.

I take my walks before the sun comes up, a few mornings lately the temp has been well below freezing
Last spring, on one of my walks, I found a box of clothes left by the curb with a “free” sign
The black snowmobile suit I found in that box fits like a glove, and I haven’t found conditions too cold for it yet

I’ve heard, that for weight loss, it’s 70% diet and 30% exercise.

We just bought a treadmill, barely managed to get it downstairs it’s so heavy. Enough exercise for one day.

I much prefer exercise that actually accomplishes something (other than weight management that is)

Me too… it’s working.
She should get a CostCo membership. Up and down all of the aisles is about a mile and a half. Cheaper than a gym.

I moved 2000 books and the bookcases that went with them. Lost four pounds. You’re welcome to join me, Janis, I have 6000 more to go. :)

I wish JJ would draw humans better. She looks like she is part baboon or boar with that huge snout/jaw area. She does not look like a female human.

As I always told my Boy Scouts there is no bad weather just inappropriate/inadequate clothing. Lots of layers.

No such thing as bad weather just bad clothes. My Siberians let me know that every bad weather day.
