Baby Blues by Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott for March 06, 1999
Transcript:
Daddy, can I play the Jingle Bells tape? Nope. It's March. You see, it's illegal to play Christmas music in March in a moving vehicle traveling east on a weekday that ends with a Y. Ohhh... Why do you make up such outrageous stories? The truth is never as convincing. Daddy knows everything.
Well, it’s March and I suppose there could still be snow on the ground (In Kansas, we’ve had ice storms even in April). Also, if you think about it, “Jingle Bells” isn’t really a Christmas song. It mentions nothing about that holiday. I’ve read it was actually intended as a song for Thanksgiving time.
That being said, there’s no reason she couldn’t play “Jingle Bells.”
