Cheese? No meat or vegetables? With vegetables, you can pretend that it is nutritious.

That’s the second pizza comic I’ve read today and that’s our next dinner plan. I’m hungry already.

Just cheese? No pepperoni? That’s a bit more healthy!

Life’s to short to always eat healthy everyday. The key is moderation. That being said, give me a large meat lovers pizza.

A Chicago pizza would include Sausage, Green peppers, Onions and Mushrooms. You can order it thick crust if you must. I prefer thin, thank you very much. And cut in squares, not “pie shaped”.

Every Friday night was pizza night for us when the kids were growing up. Okay, so it’s still pizza night. No judgment.

A meal of cheese, tomatoes, and bread is perfectly healthy.

Oh the judgement’s there. Just being held. It’s everywhere, no matter what they say.

Tell that to the teachers & lunchroom aids that take food away from hungry kids (some with special diet restriction) because THEY think the meal isn’t healthy.

What’s wrong with pizza? At the very least, it’s got cheese (dairy), tomato sauce (vegetables), and a crust (grains). Add other vegetables, meat if you want, and you’ve got a healthy meal.

In my family, we went through a period when my dad would take us all out for dinner once a week (local, reasonably priced family restaurant), in order to give my mom a break from kitchen chores. She told me he used to say to her, “It’s cheaper than a psychiatrist.”

You’d think Wanda would have been a mom long enough by now to not lay a guilt trip on herself for opting out of cooking one night. Let it go, Wanda.

When I was a kid going out for pizza was for special occasions. We had a tradition of going out to a pizza place on Christmas Eve after Mass.

I would not get all cheese pizza’s. Most pizza places charge per topping and cheese is considered a topping.

I made homemade sourdough pizza crust, spread with pesto, sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and pepperoni. Lots of bacon grease in the cast iron for a deep dish, too boot. Oh, and a big glass of homemade chocolate milk. (I make my own "Nesquik.)

When you consider the actual ingredients that go into a pizza, I’m always amazed at how expensive the are in real terms
