    I always wondered if Hart got the idea of Grog being frozen in a glacier from Marvel Comics’ Captain America revival story from Avengers #4. Captain America had been frozen in ice since the end of WW2 in 1945 and was found by the SubMariner in a block of ice…though he didn’t know who it was then…in 1964. Grog was introduced into the comic in 1966.
