Baldo by Hector D. Cantú and Carlos Castellanos for April 11, 2010
Transcript:
Dad: I like these old-fashioned markets! Dad: It's good to know you're supporting a small business. Baldo: Look! Payment here is on the honor system. Tia Carmen: We're taking a dozen of your farm fresh eggs. Clerk: That'll be $4. Tia Carmen: Why can't everyone be trusting like that? Tia Carmen: There are only ten eggs in here. Baldo: This one's a rock.
I’ve never seen a produce market with an “honor system” AND a cash register. Usually just a can or box to put the money inside.
