I baked biscuits for a Sunday fried chicken dinner one year – a friends mom gave me the recipe and I followed it to a T – the only problem was, I didn’t know she used self-rising flour so they were nice golden brown bricks lol… Wife had a backup plan and pulled out the biscuit in a tube, so dinner was saved…
Tia Carmen: See that field of wheat outside the window? Guest: No. I don’t see any wheat. Tia Carmen: Of course you don’t. I harvested the wheat to make these rolls you’re eating.
I am on my own preparing Thanksgiving dinner for 14 or 17 people. My wife planned her knee replacement for before Thanksgiving to avoid cooking. My rule number one, is enjoy it wherever it came from.
I already have plans to make my (doctored up) StoveTop stuffing ahead of time and keep it warm. The boxes will be tucked down deep into the recycling bin!

Ask Mariana to bring plenty of her home hand-churned butter, homemade strawberry jam, and six scratch-made pies (all different)

Don’t forget, Baldo, put the trash in the neighbors can so Cousin Mariana can’t find the box.
