    if i remember correctly i think my dad started taking me to see yankees v red sox games in fenway park around 1962 or ’63…saw a number of games, even saw Whitey Ford hit a home run…he was red sox fan, and i became yankee fan when i was 7 and started checking standings in newspaper (1960)

    There is no American penny. The penny is a British coin; lowest current denomination U.S. coin is the cent*.

    Yes, the misuse of the Brit terminology has been rampant ever since we switched from the pound to the dollar – but a common error is still an error.

    *As a kid, I had a U.S. 1/2¢ coin. Wanna help start a campaign to bring it back?
