Turkey trots was very real in the year I spent in Turkey (1964). At orientation we were warned to be very careful where we ate. On average, one would get the trots 2 to 3 time per year from eating at -—The Airmen’s Mess Hall!(I travelled alone to EasternTurkey, Van, Tigrus River, Antioch, Troy, Istanbul with no ill effects)
“As the crow flies” relates only to distance in a straight line as various crows fly at different speeds, some over twice the speed of other types of crows.

Bdaysuit & TexTech. Like to continue the banter but I’ve got the “runs”..just another Oz expression for the same outpouring.

Fail. “As the crow flies” is an idiom for distance, not time.
