When I was in High School I had an accident in Chemistry class where I put a glass tube through my index finger and out the back of my hand. Lots of stitches and several weeks before my hand healed up enough to use it again. What I didn’t realize was that while the glass tube was passing through my finger it left 3 fragments next to the nerve at the base of the finger, and the fragments started severing the nerve. When we started Volleyball in gym class I quickly realized that hitting the ball with my right hand caused me a great deal of pain and I kept shying away from hitting it, much to the anger of my teammates. Fortunately my doctor found the glass fragments before there was any perminant damage to the nerve, but my teammates never did trust me to after that.

My first wife was a real, natural blonde. she would burn in a few minutes of exposure to sun. I mean really burn. Waterfilled blisters.

If the rain in central VA ever lets up, I wouldn’t mind a mild case just so I can say I’ve seen the sun.
