In the 1960’s while driving in the eastern part of the country to the north, we saw potholes big enough to eat a tire. Each one had a little flag in the middle of it with a word on it that translated to ‘hole in road.’ Very helpful.
Well what do you know, that Newton guy was right about that “object in motion” stuff. I guess it is time to invent a seat and seat belts for that wheel. :-)
Reminds me of a young Indian lad that had to go on his quest to become a brave. He never returned to his tribe. Even today you can see signs posted by his tribe on the side of the road … watch for “Falling Rocks.”

That and maybe a pair of glasses would help you to see the rocks, considering how big they are.

I guess it depends on which direction you’re going as to how useful the sign is.

I hate no turn signs that are behind you when you stop at the corner to turn.

A girl I knew once advised they move the “Deer Crossing”sign, she thought the deer could read.

While experience is arguably the best teacher, it also charges the highest tuition and grades strictly.
