I wonder if our tortoise has thought this through. Now birdie can take him out to the water and dip him into it just to see how long he can hold his breath. Which will be pretty long, maybe longer than birdie can hover above the water.
Reminds me of these protesters that throw something on major pieces of art, then glue their hands to the display. I say leave them there for 3 or 4 days. Besides needing to go to the bathroom, it’s probably pretty hard to sleep in that position.

I saw a leaf of lettuce…
I moved closer to the leaf of lettuce…
That leaf of lettuce looked tasty…
I reached out to bite the leaf of lettuce…
Well, what do you expect from a tortoise’s life, drama???

Stuck on you
I’ve got this feeling down
Deep in my soul
That I just can’t lose
Guess, I’m on my way
Needed a friend
And the way I feel now, I guess
I’ll be with you till the end
Guess I’m on my way
Mighty glad you stayed

So, how long does it take for super glue to weaken? This could be a very long ride.

Makes me wonder how the tortoise without friends can squeeze glue onto the top of his shell? Are his legs long enough to reach?

Just to see the look on John’s face when he realizes that the trap worked!

@Comic Man: Good idea. Add a head high opaque screen around them so the public isn’t able to see them, which negates their effort at sensationalism.
Better yet, add them as an exhibit for 3 days and charge admission, making them examples of the ridiculous while adding to the balance sheet.
