Ah, yes… nothing like waking up to the sight of the westbound end of an eastbound wolf (or cat, or dog, or other critter).

Some pets you take (in) have side effects. Some have on-your-lap effects. Others have in-your-face effects.

These effects may cause you to experience some discomfort.

That’s a familiar position for me. I’ve been wondering lately why our dog(s) will sleep with their head at our feet.

I like the extra touch of the tail wagging. My dog moves around all night, as I do I, and I never know where she will end up for sure, but usually she has her head on my ankle, or in my hand.

Lulu the Wonder Cat Who Came in From the Cold and Decided to Stay causes The Count no end of stress like last night when she went out and got caught in a thunderstorm. Lulu doesn’t do thunderstorms…

During our younger years, we had a 3 three year old son, and thought it would be nice to have a kitten. Grew up with dogs, so never had a cat before. Kitten was playful, and enjoyed sleeping with us in our bed. Also, liked to knead my chest. End of cat sleeping in our room. Shortly, had to rid ourselves of cat after it tried to scratch our sons face.

Our first dog would burrow under the covers in one child’s bed, except during thunderstorms when he would climb up onto the pillow, not caring that there was a face already there. Our second dog would head for my parent’s bedroom when told to go to bed. Immediately after that, dad would yell from the bathroom, “Get off the pillow!”

Stormy starts at my pillow before I fall asleep, then moves to the bottom of the bed facing the door. When she knows its time for me to wake up, she puts her nose in front of my face. Doggie breath will get you up in a heartbeat! LOL

My dogs are jealous of each other when I hold them each separately. I have toy poodles. They are really small dogs. My teacup guy likes to lay on my neck if I let him on my bed with me!
